Chicken is super easy to make and easy to make delicious.
Try this the next time you have a few breasts and want a simple way to feed the fam – without fail.
- Heat your skillet, add olive oil to coat
- add 3 rinsed and patted dry chicken breasts – season with your favorite blend (I love cajun or chili/garlic blends). I use something different every time. Ensure it has some salt otherwise add salt
- use a splatter screen if you have one otherwise be careful that the oil doesn’t burn you
- cook 1 side for 5 minutes and then flip & season the other side of the chicken and cook for 3 minutes
- add 1/2 cup of water and cover for 10 minutes
- to ensure done-ness, cut open each breast and sear the middle – usually you won’t have to do this but if you want to ensure your chicken is completely cooked through (no pink), cook for an additional minute.
Serve hot or save for leftovers/meal prep.
