These are BOMB. Flax Crackers. Basically a game changing moment, especially if you’re on The Quarterly Body Reset and you haven’t eaten anything but soup for 2-3 days. But even if you’re not. These versatile bread-like disks offer a delicious medium for things like:

  • Sandwich fillings
  • Tomato with Hummus & Cucumber
  • Vegan cheese or nut/seed pâté
  • As a dipping vessel for soups
  • Simply to quell an undistinguishable craving.

Ingredients:

4 cups of ground flax seed (flaxmeal)

1/3 cup nutritional yeast

1/3 cup pumpkin seed

1 Tbsp soy sauce or tamari

1 Tbsp Za’atar seasoning (sumac, sesame, oregano, thyme etc).

a large pinch of sea salt

Enough water to blend it into a dough – you don’t need to mange this dough or knead it by any stretch, it just needs to be a spongy thick glob that you press onto your parchment paper.

Method:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Mix all of the ingredients first then add water. Line a cookie sheet with parchment and pour the contents of the bowl on top. Work the dough and press as well as you can to evenly spread the mixture toward the corners so it’s uniform. Bake for 1 hour, remove from the oven and score the flax bread. Return to the oven, heat off, for 20 more minutes and then remove and store in the fridge. EN’JOY!
